Hypertension Diagnosis
At Modern Family Medicine, we begin your hypertension diagnosis by reviewing your medical history and symptoms. We will listen to your heart for any abnormalities. Then, we will measure your blood pressure in both arms to see if there is any difference and we use the arm with higher reading for further measurements. We will confirm your diagnosis if your reading is equal to or greater than 130/80 mm Hg.
